You don’t have to know exactly where to begin.

The path to wellbeing doesn't require a map, or a diagnosis, only the willingness to take the first step. We are here to navigate your internal and external world together, at a pace that feels entirely your own.

Here’s how it works

Introductory call

First few sessions

Regular weekly space

A free 15-minute space to meet, ask questions, and ensure you feel comfortable before we begin. This gives both you and the therapist a chance to see if you can work together.

Initial assessment sessions focused on understanding your history and identifying your goals for therapy. You may collaboratively decide on a preliminary timeline for therapy

You would usually meet your therapist on a consistent day and time each week dedicated to your reflection and growth in a safe environment.

What if I don’t know what to talk about?

This is a common and welcome place to start. Therapy is not an interrogation; it is a collaborative exploration. There is no pressure to arrive with a perfect agenda. Through curiosity and a quiet space, the most meaningful themes naturally emerge.

At ELAVAIT, we practice integrative therapy, which means we draw from various approaches. For those of you interested in the technical language, this includes modalities like psychodynamic therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), all through a contextual, person-centred lens. This collaborative approach ensures your therapy isn't a standard protocol, but a tailored journey that respects your unique life experience and background.

The Approach

What Therapy Sessions Involve

Exploring underlying patterns

Exploring the themes, habits and responses that keep showing up in your life, and gently understanding what might be sitting underneath them.

Processing experiences

Making space to gently process memories, events and feelings that may have felt too much to hold on your own.

Learning about yourself

Getting to know the different parts of you, how you respond to the world around you and what might help you feel more grounded.

No judgement

You can bring difficult, complicated or unfinished thoughts.

Collaboration

A partnership where your autonomy and insights are prioritized.

Curiosity

Deep, thoughtful inquiry to uncover the 'why' behind feelings and patterns.

Manageable pace

We move at a speed that respects your nervous system and readiness.

Professional care

Grounded in evidence-based research and qualified therapeutic expertise. Ensuring your safety is prioritised.
